Woodpecker Tree Surgery offers free quotations for our services and we are open and transparent about our process so you can have peace of mind that you your job is in safe hands with our experienced team.

The Quotation

On your initial contact with Woodpecker Tree Surgery we will arrange a time and date to visit to discuss your requirements. The quotation is free of charge and will take into account:

The tree species and pruning or felling requirements

Any restrictions, such as tree preservation orders (TPOs) or conservation areas.

Safety factors, for example roads, power cables, etc.

The surrounding garden, including flower beds, green houses, and wildlife that may be affected when carrying out tree work.

We will aim to give you a written quotation on the day of our first visit, this will detail specification of the work we recommend and a total cost. Our price includes removal of all timber and waste and will reflect value for money for professional work.

Your Acceptance

If you are happy with our quotation please accept via telephone, post, or email. We will then place you on our job list and contact you with a convenient date for the work to be carried out.

Before the work is carried out, we will check with your local authority to see if there are any restrictions. Where Tree Preservation Orders do exist, or your tree is within a conservation area, we will inform you and we will present an application for tree work, on your behalf, to the local authority. It can take 8–10 weeks for the local authority to determine our request. However, we do everything to keep this time to a minimum and will keep you informed of any progress. Once consent has been received, we will contact you to arrange a convenient date.

The Work

On the date agreed for work to commence, we will arrive as near to the specified time as possible. This is often between 8.45–9.00am but if we are delayed for any reason then we will telephone to inform you.

Throughout the day we will keep you informed of the works progress and of any unforeseen issues that may arise. Extra work can be added on request for an agreed price.

On satisfactory completion of the works, we will present you with an invoice. Payment is accepted via cheque, bank transfer, or cash within 14 days.
